Blogger Question: “Why are Pammy’s boobies all messed up?”

March 12th, 2009

Dr D – I am scared of breast implants because of Pammy Anderson’s Frankentits. What the hell did she do to herself?

Look at these @&^@#%#@ pics!

Pamela Anderson is interesting as a spokes model for breast implants. She also shows the extreme variation in what people consider attractive. Some women believe that her breasts are the goal in having implants and others want to avoid results like hers.

As we have discussed before, Pam has implants that are really large relative to the tissue she has available to cover them. She has also by report had at least 6 operations. Women show do not have a ton of surgery and keep it moderate on the implant size tend to have far fewer problems with their implants. They also tend to look more natural.

The “take home point” here is to come to grips with what you want (and what you are willing to accept) in implant surgery and communicate this with your surgeon should you choose to have surgery.

Blogger Question: "What’s With These Boob Implants?"

February 26th, 2009

Gorilla Mask Pic

Dr D – What’s with these boob implants on these two girls. The one on the left has round boobs and the other seems more natural-looking.

The gal on the left probably has over the muscle and/or high profile implants. They look more “fake” especially in thin women. The other girl probably has moderate profile “under the muscle” implants. This is something you might want to discuss with your surgeon if you are having breast implants placed.

Victoria Beckham Image Photoshopped

This seems to support my conclusion. It has probably been photoshopped to improve the appearance however. I doubt the “real” is completely without enhancement.

Blogger Question – Victoria Beckham’s Leg

July 20th, 2007

The Question:

This is a link to a picture of Victoria Beckham’s leg (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix /2007/07_02/beckham RTN1907_600x807.jpg) and I was wondering what happened with her skin. Would sun damage do that?

An Answer:

It is likely that she had gained and lost weight over the years resulting in loose skin that is receiving direct sunlight and therefore is affected by unflattering shadowing. The weight gain could have been with pregnancy and the tendency for her skin to become loose could be genetic. The sun is only indirectly responsible for this one.

P.S. I have been thinking about featuring a question from the comments regularly. What do you all think of the idea?
