Good Tummy Tuck Results : In an Athlete

Good tummy tuck results in an athlete can be difficult. The surgery needs to be carefully modified and proscribed specifically in very fit clients. Below is a “Before & After” of an athletic woman who could not lose the loose “pudge” in her tummy. The portion of this extra flab near the panty has been called mother’s apron. The medical term is pannus. This patient did not have a very loose or prominent pannus, but was bothered by it. Although she was quite fit, she came wondering whether an “athlete tummy tuck” might be beneficial.

Upon examination, a belly button hernia was also found with a lot of muscular wall thinning nearby. This was likely a derivative of child bearing. A tummy tuck with abdominal hernia repair was performed and at 5 months she was pleased.

Good Plastic Surgery in the OC – Satisfying Facial Dog Bite Surgery

Orange County Dog Bite Plastic Surgery

I met “S” in the emergency department of an Orange County hospital I no longer serve. She had been bitten on the lip by a large dog and incurred a fairly nasty wound. The dog bite repair here wound was a careful cleaning, trimming and closure by yours truly in the emergency department under local anesthesia. Unlike the majority of emergency patients with poor insurance coverage, this woman paid her bill slowly over about a year in payments.

She had a very nice outcome. It is too bad I can’t afford to do more of these, but they pay poorly even when insured and most patients are not as honorable as this one was. Good plastic surgery is not always cosmetic although cosmetic surgery pays most of our bills.

Good Tummy Tuck Results with Breast Lift/Implants

Good Tummy Tuck Results

Good Tummy Tuck Results Orange County California

Years ago I did some work for a great looking 40 year old mom who worked out incessantly and had a great athletic body. Despite the working out though, her tummy had some changes from her pregnancy years before and her breasts were a bit small and droopy for her tastes. After a few years and two operations (Breast lift/implants and a tummy tuck,) she sent me this bikini image with a thank-you note.

Plastic surgery can work out well when done properly in the right patient. These are good tummy tuck results, but in reality all plastic surgery results vary. Only few patients get this kind of “knock it out of the park” result. They tend to be the people who are already in great shape. There is no overemphasizing doing your part.

Diet and exercise make you a better candidate for surgery anyway. :)

Clean Smile Line Filler – Orange County California

Good Orange County Smile Line Injections

Here is a smile line filler case before and 2 weeks later from my Orange County practice. The anatomic areas treated were the Nasolabial folds and Marionette lines. Not all smile line filler results need to be scary. We used a hyaluronic acid based product.

The biggest problems with filler cases tend to revolve around the large amounts of filler that some practitioner place. Moderation leads to more natural results here. You might not get all your linbes corrected but you will look human when you leave. We look at this as a reasonable trade off. :)

Epic Ear Plug Hole Repair

Ear Plug Hole Repair is sought more frequently when people with large holes and stretched lobes look into the job market.

People with Ear Plugs may decide to remove them and have the holes repaired. The reasons usually revolve around work. Here is a gent who wanted to enter the service and was told by his contact that the ear plug holes needed to be closed before he appeared for duty. He had removed his plugs several months before which we usually recommend as the holes will close down somewhat by doing this. His repair was performed in our South Orange County office under local anesthesia. At 2 weeks the repair looks pretty good although they improve over the months that follow.

Good Thigh Lift Results – Orange County California

Good Thigh Lift Results

can be yours if you are the proper candidate and you have quality surgery.

The operation is designed to correct loose fatty skin along the inside of the thighs. As I have previously posted images of such operations in which things did not turn out well, here is an example of the other side of the coin. :)

Good thigh lift results Orange County California

This pretty forty something was in good shape, but had gained and lost a good deal of weight around the time of her pregnancies years prior. The result was that her inner thighs kind of touched and when she ran she felt them swinging around and slapping one another at times. The skin was loose and wrinkles were apparent. She found this inconsistent with her self-image and wanted it corrected.

A year after thigh lift surgery (upper right in the image) the problem was greatly improved (good thigh lift results.) In cases like hers the scar can be carefully hidden in the groin crease. Larger cases (such as after gastric bypass) with more loose skin can require extended incisions.

Successful Pressure Ulcer Closure

We have discussed before that my practice includes cosmetic as well as reconstructive plastic surgery. This fairly sick man was a resident at a wound care hospital at which I treat patients. He had a deep (stage IV) wound of his sacrum (lower back) that was too severe to heal without surgery. He had had a stroke and was for the most part bedridden. A consequence of this was that he was unable to sit in a chair for fear of bleeding and continued wound breakdown.

I performed a wound repair that allowed him to sit up in a chair and live in a little less pain. This isn’t pretty plastic surgery, but it did improve his lot in life for the rest of his life. He died of other causes about a year after the surgery.

Boob Job Redo Video

Boob job redo surgery is certainly more difficult than first time cases. Looking over some of my older YouTube videos, there was a desire to fix some up a bit. I had this boob job redo video with a patient testimonial. This video is now new and improved with reduction of annoying music and re-arrangement of the elements. It tells the story better now.

The story in short was this very nice young woman had been operated by a local surgeon who reported himself as the “best of the best.” Sound familiar? He nevertheless ran into a complication and after three operations left her pretty deformed. He reported to her that “this was as good as it was going to get.” Then she found Dr D through a friend. This was not an easy case and her result is just as much due to my work as her persistence, faith and patience.

Better Scars / Different Surgeons

Patients at times come to the office after having had surgery elsewhere looking to improve their outcomes. This forty year old man works out and is fit. He had had lipomas form in his arms, chest and tummy over the years and was unhappy about some of the scars that resulted when his family doctor removed a few (bottom inset of the image.) He came looking for the removal of a few newer lumps and was happy with how the scars were much better than they had been with Dr X before. One of those “Dr D” scars is inset at the top right of the image here three years after Dr D removed one of three lipomas.
This is not a ding to your family doctor. There are good things about having your family doctor remove your lumps and bumps. They are more often covered by insurance. This man paid cash to have Dr D remove his newer lipomas, but was happy about the lack of scarring that resulted.

Quality Earlobe Repair – Orange County California

Earlobe repair for tears (mostly from earrings) are pretty common. For the simple ones repair can be done in the office under local anesthesia (numbing shots.)

Good Earlobe Repair

The picture above is a before and after earlobe repair from a case in our South Orange County office. The larger repairs from plugs and infection problems with tissue loss are more complicated. Health insurance usually doesn’t cover this type of work, but single-sided simple repairs are not terribly expensive.
