Reduction Labiaplasty: Patient Review on MakeMeHeal

August 22nd, 2010

MakeMeHeal Labiaplasty Review/NSFW (Before & Afters Pics)

“Lets face it ladies this is not an easy problem to talk about with anyone. It took a lot of courage to make my consultation and go talk to a complete stranger about having this procedure done. Dr. Di Saia is the best and I am so happy with my results and his care that I would refer this doctor with complete confidence. I’m about a month post op and would be happy to answer any questions about my experience with this doctor or the surgery and recovery period.”

I really appreciate it when patients write about their experiences on these review sites. This is a nice review of a reduction labiaplasty I did for a patient on MakeMeHeal. I am always happy when they are happy!

Best Regards,

Reader Praise for the Blog – Thank You…

June 23rd, 2010

Reader’s Comment:

Dr D – Do you know that yours is the only blog that tries to present plastic surgery honestly? I did a Google blog search today and found so much &^@# spam that I nearly hurled! Most of what I found either made no sense or was a damn ad! Yours is the only blog I trust and I thought you needed to know that. If I were in Southern California, you would be my plastic surgeon. You are the best.

Well what can I say? I appreciate kind words. Who doesn’t? Thanks.

Best Regards,

John Di Saia MD

Reader Question: Have You Operated on any Celebrities Dr D?

November 5th, 2009

Reader Question:

Beverly Hills plastic surgeons usually run around telling about how they have operated on the “Rich and Famous?” You don’t do that, but have you?

Well, a few. It is funny that you ask. Most often doctors do not have permission to tell of any celebrity patients. There is only one case in which I think I am pretty free to report that I operated upon an ex-NBA Hall of Famer. In this case, the patient (when he was alive) was so pleased that he presented me with a nice framed picture of himself in his uniform from his playing days openly thanking me for the work I had done for him. He was a rare gentleman.

His name was George Yardley. He passed away in 2004. He was a kind man with a good disposition.

Scar Revision: Patient Review on Real Self

July 14th, 2009

RealSelf Scar Revision Review

“I had been consulting with many local plastic surgeons to revise a wide, dented scar that I had on my leg. One doctor suggested tissue expanders but the price was ten thousand dollars which was too much for me, so then I consulted with another doctor which convinced me to have Restylane injected in my scar to improve the dent but that still made no difference. I continued to consult with other doctors that gave me no hope because they would tell me that my scar was too wide for revision.

I was ready to give up when I found my Dr’s web page and saw he had revised a scar similar to mine. I am really glad that I went to him. I will always be so thankful to him since he was the one that was able to improve the appearance of my scar after the scar excision, now my scar is as thin as a pencil line and there is no more dent and it is already fading away. He is the best of the best.”

Wow. Here’s a nice review of a scar revision operation I did for a patient on Real Self. How kind. Restylane really does very little for depressed scars. Wide scars are best addressed by revision in my opinion.

Dr D Compliment on Yahoo Answers

July 28th, 2008

Dr D Compliment on Yahoo Answers

This was kinda nice. A previous patient recommended me to someone on Yahoo Answers for breast implants and a labiaplasty it seems.

Thanks to all,
