A Good Labiaplasty Review
Posted by admin in "Good Plastic Surgery in the OC", A little respect, Dr D's Patients on October 24, 2012
Labiaplasty Review Rating: 5 Stars
I feel so thankful I had to share. I chose him because after that first meeting,I knew he would do whatever he could to make it happen for me. Dr D is simply the best plastic surgeon out there for labiaplasty (and probably a lot of other stuff.) I agonized over the decision to have surgery after reading the forums. Some women have had halloween results. They made me cry. I saw a few doctors and some scared me even more. Creepers! Then there was Dr D!

This labiaplasty review was sent to me by Realself. The patient reviews are anonymous there. By her screen name, she appears to be a nurse. She was very kind. I am flattered.

Good Plastic Surgery in the OC – Positive Review Vaginal Lip Surgery
Posted by admin in "Good Plastic Surgery in the OC", A little respect, Dr D's Patients on May 3, 2012
I had a reduction labiaplasty 6 months ago, which is the only plastic surgery that I will ever have. It was a difficult decision and I was very nervous. I consulted with 6 other surgeons, before I chose him. Comparatively, He was mid range in terms of experience with this type of surgery, and also cost. Dr Di Saia was excellent. I found him to be trustworthy and transparently honest. He was patient in answering my questions and used normal-sized words to explain everything. He appeared careful and thorough in his approach to planning the surgery. He was flexible about my preference of anesthesia, and even agreed to operate at a surgery site closer to where I lived. Hey, he lives in this century – he responds to e-mails quickly and personally! He was easily available to contact after the surgery, and the number of visits afterwards were unlimited, my choice. His work on me was good. Precise. Artistically pleasant, and very natural looking. Others, even docs, have not been able to tell that surgery was done.

I found this review by one of my labiaplasty patients on Yelp. The ultimate thank-you. So cool. This young lady came down from Los Angeles.

Good Plastic Surgery in the OC – Positive Scar Revision Review
Posted by admin in "Good Plastic Surgery in the OC", A little respect, Dr D's Patients on April 13, 2012
“Got an excellent result from Dr. Di Saia after another surgeon made these same scars look terrible.”
“Dr. Di Saia is a nice guy and excellent surgeon. He really takes the time to explain what he is doing and is not arrogant like some doctors. He will also be honest about results/expectations and not try to sell surgeries that won’t help you. Dr. Di Saia’s assistant Lisa is also very helpful in making sure things work with your schedule and very prompt about returning calls. ”

This gentleman is a client for whom I have repaired several scars. The one to which he refers in this review was one side of a skin graft donor site operated by a prior surgeon. He had pretty wide ugly pigmented scars on both sides of his groin that were very opportune for scar revision. We have repaired several scars for him in the office under local anesthesia following the one upon which he wrote this review.
The images he used for his review actually improved more with time as his “After” picture was only two weeks out from the repair of this scar. The image he shares shows the scar I removed from his right groin compared to the one we had not yet operated on his left (still wide and dark.) He did have a little bruising on his right from the surgery that had not yet faded when this image was taken.
As always I am honored when patients do me the compliment of an online review. Thank you. The review originally appeared on the Realself.com site.

Thanks to MedicalSpaMd.com for the pleasure of the interview. Being that I am low on gimmicks, they seemed to take it pretty well. Check out my answer when they asked me about the lasers I use in the office.

Good Plastic Surgery in the OC – Positive Tummy Tuck Thigh Lift Review
Posted by admin in "Good Plastic Surgery in the OC", A little respect, Dr D's Patients on September 9, 2011
“You Will Not Find a Better Doctor – Orange, CA”
“First, let me say that the cost I have shown here is for TWO surgeries – a mini tummy tuck and a thigh lift, done separately. This site doesn’t give the opportunity to distinguish this info. The care I received from Dr D was unlike any care you will receive from ANY other doctor. He runs his practice the way all doctors probably wish they could run theirs but don’t have the courage to do away with all the bells and whistles that the patient ends up paying for. In a nutshell – your ‘face time’ with Dr D is extensive. From your first consultation to your last post op follow up. My initial consultation was over an hour and this was one on one with the doctor – asking questions, getting to know each other, and getting comfortable with each other. This is personal stuff and you need to be comfortable with your doctor, and vice versa. Dr D is very big on post op follow ups and for good reason. He’s a perfectionist and wants to make sure everything is healing properly. Never did I have to sit in a crowded waiting room, feel rushed, or like he was not completely focused in on me and know exactly who I was and what was going on with my situation. Dr D performed 2 separate surgeries, a mini tummy tuck and a thigh lift. I felt completely prepared for each one and there were no surprises. He explained everything in such detail, what was going to happen, the after affects, the recovery, the healing process, and the expected results, and he was right on target. I followed doctors orders to the letter, which is big too, so when your paying for someone to work their magic, you’ve got to do your part also. Lisa is the perfect extension of Dr D – she knows who you are, whats going on and makes you feel instantly comfortable. Prior to my consultation with Dr D I went to 1 other Dr in La Jolla for a consult. Beautiful office overlooking the ocean, staff of countless botoxed beauties, excellent surgeon with a great reputation and white lab coat. I saw him for about 30 seconds, while his staff chatted me up and sent me off with a 3 ring binder of glossy photos and their price. I don’t recall his price for the 2 surgeries but I remember it was higher then Dr D’s. I also remember after my consultation with Dr D, I didn’t care if he was more or less then the La Jolla Dr…..I already knew he was MY doctor (turned out he was less of course). This was the best decision I could have made. I have no scarring, no horror stories and could not be happier with my results. Dr D is a master at his craft and as I said before, an absolute perfectionist. The incisions are really a work of art, even though they are barely visible. I would not want anyone else to perform any kind of surgery on my body except for Dr D and highly recommend him to any and everyone.”
I love it when patients take the time to say a kind word after all is said and done. It is much appreciated. I had done this patient’s tummy tuck and thigh lift a few years prior to her review. The review originally appeared on the Realself.com site.

Reader Praise for the Blog – Thank You…

Reader’s Comment:
Dr D – Do you know that yours is the only blog that tries to present plastic surgery honestly? I did a Google blog search today and found so much &^@# spam that I nearly hurled! Most of what I found either made no sense or was a damn ad! Yours is the only blog I trust and I thought you needed to know that. If I were in Southern California, you would be my plastic surgeon. You are the best.
Well what can I say? I appreciate kind words. Who doesn’t? Thanks.
Best Regards,
John Di Saia MD

Reduction Labiaplasty: Southern California Dr D Patient Review

MakeMeHeal Labiaplasty Review/NSFW (Before & Afters Pics)
“Lets face it ladies this is not an easy problem to talk about with anyone. It took a lot of courage to make my consultation and go talk to a complete stranger about having this procedure done. Dr. Di Saia is the best and I am so happy with my results and his care that I would refer this doctor with complete confidence. I’m about a month post op and would be happy to answer any questions about my experience with this doctor or the surgery and recovery period.”
I really appreciate it when patients write about their experiences on these review sites. Labiaplasty surgery scares many potential patients due to the discrepancies between the reports of outcomes online. My patients are usually pretty happy and reviews like this one illustrate that.
I am always happy when they are happy!

John Di Saia MD
