This article states that “cosmetic surgeons” predict that Demi had had the following:
• Liposuction to her hips, inner and outer thighs and stomach – £16,000
• Beast (sic) implants for 1996 film Striptease – £11,000
• Subsequent operation to reduce her breast implants and have a breast lift – £9,500
• Brow lift – £3,600
• Chemical facial skin peel – £10,000
• Collagen injections (per course) – £200
• Teeth veneered and laser whitening – £6,200
• A long-term diet and fitness routine, including nutritionist, personal trainer, yoga instructor and kick-boxing champion – £165,000
Total: £226,500
[equivalent cost is about $425,000]
I don’t know what images they reviewed to determine this, but I think she got soaked on the peel.

Sued hospital for having to see the doctors rushing to help their mother
Sisters Janice Bird, Dayle Bird Edgmon and Kim Bird Moran sued their mother’s doctors and a hospital after Janice accompanied her mother, Nita Bird, to a minor medical procedure. When something went wrong, Janice and Dayle witnessed doctors rushing their mother to emergency surgery. Rather than malpractice, their legal fight centered on the “negligent infliction of emotional distress” — not for causing distress to their mother, but for causing distress to them for having to see the doctors rushing to help their mother. The case was fought all the way to the California Supreme Court, which finally ruled against the women. Which is a good thing, since if they had prevailed doctors and hospitals would have had no choice but to keep you from being anywhere near your family members during medical procedures just in case something goes wrong. In their greed, the Bird sisters risked everyone’s right to have family members with them in emergencies.
Our legal system has gone nuts. I hope most of these lawsuits are fictitious, but have a feeling some are not.

Kate Winslet Says Husband Says NO to Plastic Surgery
Posted by admin in celebrity plastic surgery on January 10, 2007
Kate Winslet says her husband would leave her if she had plastic surgery.
The subject of plastic surgery can be polarizing in the home. It is difficult to deal with these situations as a surgeon. It is much better to not do them until there is peace in the home to which the patient will return after surgery. Forcing conflict is of no benefit to anyone.

Murder for Plastic Surgery?
Posted by admin in criminal for plastic surgery, plastic surgery news on January 8, 2007
In a murder trial that began in California this week, a young mother is accused of using arsenic to kill her Marine husband to, according to prosecutors, pay for plastic surgery and a shopping spree. Cynthia Sommer, 33, is accused of poisoning her husband Todd Sommer, a Marine, with arsenic for financial gain so she could afford plastic surgery and a shopping spree.

A woman is proposed by the DA here to have poisoned her Marine husband for the life insurance money so she could have plastic surgery. I hope this is a “Fantasy land proposition.”

“I’m not going to comment on that tonight. I just think me looking human is cool.”
Agreed.
