Daryl Hannah & Plastic Surgery Victims?
Posted by admin in celebrity plastic surgery club, too much hurts on March 27, 2009
Daryl Hannah claims she would never go under the knife, but new photos in In Touch Weekly look a little suspicious.
Yep, that swollen face image they have looks pretty post op to me or she had a ton of facial fillers. The bottom line on this one is that aging can be slowed by judicious plastic surgery, but there is a line after which much more can have less than attractive results.
Plastic surgery scares some people because of the results so prominently displayed in these kinds of pieces. They do underscore the importance of using sound judgment should you decide to have surgery and understanding limits when and if you do. This may not be a “sexy” statement, but it is the truth.

Kim Kardashian is not Fat, but she may be Sneaky.
Posted by admin in Celebs a Talkin' on March 26, 2009
In Kim Kardashian’s recent shoot for Complex Magazine, the editors mistakenly posted an un-Photoshopped version of one of the pictures (side-by-side in the banner pic). They quickly replaced it, but not before she got to milk it for publicity and sympathy. She writes on her blog:
Complex later replaced the pic with the photoshopped version, causing all of this drama. But you know what, who cares! So what: I have a little cellulite. What curvy girl doesn’t!?
So which is it Kim, are you proud of being “curvy” or are you admitting you’re kinda fat? Are you “proud of your body” or are you going to stay in the gym? You can see where what you’re saying might be interpreted as confusing.
Kim is curvy and curves come with fat. This whole “slip up” incident was likely staged, but that is another story. Don’t you love how she dropped in the “Fitness DVD” bit in there.

Dying Woman Wants Plastic Surgery – $55K Worth
Posted by admin in plastic surgery news on March 26, 2009
A British woman dying of cancer plans to spend about $55,000 on plastic surgery so she can go to the grave looking like her idol, Demi Moore, London’s Daily Mirror reports. Lisa Connell, 29, will fund the surgery with the money her mother had saved to pay for her daughter’s wedding. The procedures will include liposuction, a breast enhancement, an eyebrow lift, and work on her skin and teeth.
She seems very attractive by the images I see with the story. The “to look like Demi Moore” part is a bit disturbing. Mrs Moore is not so thrilled about the idea either.

Mannequins Look Like Breast Implant Patients?
Posted by admin in plastic surgery news on March 24, 2009
When mannequins start looking like really large breast implant patients, where are we as a society? The woman’s groups should spin out on this one. They really like the “Barbie ” doll. A post is coming up soon on that one….

Dr D’s Opinion makes him Unpopular? Say it Ain’t So.
Posted by admin in Dr D reactions on March 23, 2009
Somewhere on the internet, opinion about Dr D stews:
meet Dr. John Di Saia, a plastic surgeon whom we imagine to be the “real housewife”-maker of Orange County (since, on one of his blogs, he provides advice on “Cosmetic genital surgery — labia minora reduction”). On his other blog, “Truth in Cosmetic Surgery,” Dr. Di Saia seems to reach out to Padma Lakshmi, saying, “That arm scar is really ripe for improvement.”

OK the blog itself isn’t so bad on me. Now to the comments:
diSaia is a right wing asshole.
Well I do side with the military and police pretty often.
Yeah, I remember a blog post he wrote a couple years ago on how he felt Cindy Sheehan needed plastic surgery. It was disgusting. Someone wrote a not so happy comment about it and he started in on some anti-liberal bs. The guy needs to stick to fixing pussy lips and keep his shut.
Well I didn’t say that. I never say anyone “needs” plastic surgery. It is a choice like my choice to state my opinion here.

New Botched Plastic Surgery Lawsuits in Orange County
Posted by admin in plastic surgery news on March 20, 2009
The California Medical Board this month filed accusations of gross negligence and incompetence against Dr. Harrell Edward Robinson of Anaheim Hills and Dr. Shir Miskinyar of Santa Ana.
The terms here are pretty generic and mean little. They are common to accusations in plastic surgery.
—
Robinson, a head and neck surgeon, is accused of performing procedures without a patient’s consent and then later borrowing money from her and forcibly kissing her, according to legal documents. The documents say an unnamed woman paid Robinson $16,000 for a tummy tuck, but he allegedly performed liposuction and a facelift during surgery.
Going to a head and neck surgeon for a tummy tuck is pretty naive. The tummy is neither in the head nor the neck. This part is not against the law. Performing surgery without permission is not allowed though. The other accusations are equally inappropriate if true.
—
Miskinyar, who works at All Beauty Plastic Surgery in Santa Ana, is accused of performing breast augmentation on two women who developed infections and had to have their implants removed.
This can happen in any implant surgery although in properly-trained hands it is exceedingly rare.
—
Neither Robinson nor Miskinyar are board-certified in plastic surgery, according to the American Board of Medical Specialties Web site.
These patients did not do their home work it seems. Having plastic surgery with a non-board certified plastic surgeon is unnecessary in Orange County where board-certified talent is in abundance. Yes, folks I am board-certified.

Dr Matlock of 90210 Gets Sued
Posted by admin in plastic surgery news on March 19, 2009
Dr. David Matlock is being accused of causing Patricia D’Edgido to suffer “extreme and severe permanent personal injuries” after a 2007 surgery “on her buttocks and other areas of her body, including her arms and vaginal area.”
Well in our place and time, docs get sued even when they are not at fault. Some are sued more than others. Dr Matlock is a Gynecologist and offers more than just gynecology, so we’ll see if his qualifications to do the surgery here are in question. He currently stands accused of the nebulous “bad plastic surgery.”
