Who is Rachel Uchitel?
Posted by admin in celebrity plastic surgery on November 30, 2009
BlackBookMag describes Rachel Uchitel as a VIP Diva known for having affairs with married men.
Shareapic images show her to be an attractive woman who has probably seen the inside of a plastic surgeon’s office before. She seems to have had breast implants at the least from the images we have seen. Lip filler seems pretty likely as well.
Whether she has been having an affair with Tiger Woods or not, this story will not go away for a while.

California on an Economical Death Spiral While Texas Grows?
Posted by admin in Not Plastic Surgery, politics on November 27, 2009
First, Texans on average believe in laissez-faire markets with an emphasis on individual responsibility. Since the ’80s, California’s policy-makers have favored central planning solutions and a reliance on a government social safety net. This unrelenting commitment to big government has led to a huge tax burden and triggered a mass exodus of jobs. The Trends Editors examined the resulting migration in “Voting with Our Feet,” in the April 2008 issue of Trends.
Second, Californians have largely treated environmentalism as a “religious sacrament” rather than as one component among many in maximizing people’s quality of life. As we explained in “The Road Ahead for Housing,” in the June 2009 issue of Trends, environmentally-based land-use restriction centered in California played a huge role in inflating the recent housing bubble. Similarly, an unwillingness to manage ecology proactively for man’s benefit has been behind the recent epidemic of wildfires.
Third, California has placed “ethnic diversity” above “assimilation,” while Texas has done the opposite. “Identity politics” has created psychological ghettos that have prevented many of California’s diverse ethnic groups and subcultures from integrating fully into the mainstream. Texas, on the other hand, has proactively encouraged all the state’s residents to join the mainstream.
Fourth, beyond taxes, diversity, and the environment, Texas has focused on streamlining the regulatory and litigation burden on its residents. Meanwhile, California’s government has attempted to use regulation and litigation to transfer wealth from its creators to various special-interest constituencies.
Very succinct and I believe correct.

Texas Woman Fakes Breast Cancer for Breast Implants
Posted by admin in plastic surgery news on November 27, 2009
Aol Health features a story about Trista Lathern, a 24-year-old woman in Texas who claimed she had breast cancer.
At least $10,000 was raised to help Trista Lathern after she announced she was battling breast cancer. But investigators say it was all a scam and that she planned to use the money to get breast implants. Lathern’s story came to the attention of police when she allegedly visited a plastic surgeon who became suspicious of her story and called his attorney, who contacted police, KXXV-TV reported.
She was arrested last week and charged with theft by deception, a state felony, the station said.

I think she picked the wrong State in which to pull this. They will convict her there. Have a nice time in D block lady! I wonder if the surgeon violated HIPAA?

Sophia Loren : Good Genes or Good Docs?

TMZ asks “Good Genes or Good Docs?”
Source: tmz.com/2009/11/22/sophia-loren-good-genes-or-good-docs/
Sophia Loren looks pretty good for 75. Sure she looked great as a younger woman, but plastic surgery has undoubtedly been a part of her big picture. I’d wager that her face has been done several times by quality surgeons. Then again if she didn’t look great as a younger woman she of course wouldn’t look this good now.

Reader Laura on “Do It Yourself” Botox Bust
Reader Laura’s Comment:
Here’s another scary one. A do-it-yourself Botox business was busted in Mansfield, Texas. The police closed down her website where they had how to videos as well. I know the economy is really bad but some things you should never cut back on.
According to court documents, undercover investigators bought a “Newbie Starter Kit” from D’Alleva which contained the prescription Restylane in a filled syringe. They also purchased Dysport and Freeze, both of which contain purified neurotoxins, which are used for wrinkle-reduction.

This lady was selling “Do it Yourself” botulinum toxin, Restylane and other prescription drug kits with instructions it seems. The most interesting part may be how she was able to order the drugs. There is nothing here about anyone being hurt at least.

Dr D – When Skin Cancer Gets Large – Picture Alert
Posted by admin in Picture Warning, skin cancer on November 24, 2009
Most skin cancer is handled by non-plastic surgeons. When they get large, some get sent my way though. You might not be able to tell how large they are at times.
Look at this arm:
The point as you march through these images is to see that this cancer is pretty large. It has probably been there for years. The next page will have the wound formed when the cancer was removed and then two months after reconstruction in which I placed a skin graft and closed part of the wound using a little plastic surgery. Those who are faint of heart can skip this if they wish.
Britney Spears and Kinda Low Lying Nipples

Lainey Gossip features some Britney Spears images in Australia. They comment on her nipples looking tweaked.
It is more likely that after her two pregnancies and prior breast implant surgery that she could use a capsulectomy and/or a breast lift. Those nipples look a bit low and the implants look a bit high in that t shirt.

Botax to Fund Health Care?
Posted by admin in Medicine in the News on November 20, 2009
MSNBC reports on the health care debacle and of course the Democrats are now again testing the idea of taxing cosmetic procedures to pay for it.
This so called Botax will suppress already suppressed cosmetic surgery market so then they can collect less income taxes from plastic surgeons like me. The Feds net tax collection may not change by much. And you my friends will pay for it.
The Feds are coming for your Botox. Hide your needles. lol.

Amy Winehouse Burst a Breast Implant?
Posted by admin in breast implant pre-op tutorial on November 20, 2009
3am quotes Amy Winehouse’s father who hints that she may have gone to the hospital to check a leaking breast implant wound:
“It wasn’t because she had a cold. She’s fine, she just had a little (pointing to his chest) leaky something or other.”
It is unlikely that an implant would be leaking this early but anything is possible. Hopefully she just had a minor wound problem.
