Jordan had just had surgery to reduce her implant size and lift her breasts. Close up images of a nipple and areola after breast lift surgery take time to improve. It is called “healing.”
What do you all expect? Weeks after implant exchange and lift surgery of course things will look funky. This is one of the reasons to think twice before having monster-sized breast implants. They stretch out your skin and if you decide to later remove or downsize them, a breast lift will be needed to “take in all the slack.” Everyone needs to chill.
As an aside, I like the use of fewer sutures over the skin in breast lift surgery to reduce the cross-hatching you see in Jordan’s scar here. As time passes that will get lighter, but will not go away entirely. One of my full breast lift/implant patients is linked below so you can see what I mean.
Best Regards,
John Di Saia MD

Those traintrack scars are gross. Looks sloppy to me.
Too many “through the skin” sutures it seems.
Is it possible to ‘super-glue” the nipples instead of stitching?
The super glue really adds little. It is better to stitch from the under surface of the skin to keep from getting those marks. It is more work and takes more time but it is effective.
Poor Katie!!! I know she has had a lot of surgery but isn’t there some kind of scar revision that could be done for her now? Or do things just get so worn out that it isn’t even an option anymore? Or tattooing or something?
Hi Jenny-
Sure this could be revised assuming it didn’t improve to her satisfaction after a year or so. The hatch marks probably faded at least a little.
