Good Plastic Surgery in the OC – Refreshed Eyelid Surgery
Posted by admin in "Good Plastic Surgery in the OC", Dr D's Patients on September 28, 2012
Blepharoplasty is upper and/or lower eyelid cosmetic surgery usually performed for redundancy of the skin and fat of eyelids. Insurance companies may pay for upper lid surgery if the lids get in the way of the patient’s vision. The rate they pay for the surgeon is usually pretty poor.
This young woman came for cosmetic blepharoplasty of the upper and lower lids. This was performed through traditional trans-cutaneous incisions allowing the removal of skin and fat. At 6 weeks she was pleased.

Betty White & Her About Face on Plastic Surgery
Posted by admin in celebrity plastic surgery on June 2, 2011
In 2010, Betty White is quoted as having said:
The Golden Girls star, 88, says she’s glad she hasn’t gone under knife — and wishes her old friends followed in her footsteps and grew old gracefully.

More recently she released her book and admitted to having had blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery):
“It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature! But in 1976 I had my eyelids done. I scolded myself forever, but now I’m glad I did it.”
In the big picture, her friends are following in her footsteps. They are telling the press they haven’t and won’t have plastic surgery. Then later they are having it. Case closed.
