I read an article that intimates that cosmetic surgery is some kind of evil conspiracy. It is pretty “over the top.” How do you respond to that? The author seems to really believe that all cosmetic surgery is an organized industry that dupes people into having dangerous surgery. The point is pretty naive.

Until we make a stand and educate potential victims that any cosmetic surgery, even a minor one, can be a life threatening procedure, the cosmetic surgeons will continue to put peoples’ life at risk.

No responsible surgeon intimates that surgery is simple. I think the author is confusing things just a bit here. The Hendry case to which she refers has been discussed here. That is a single malpractice case involving one doctor.

What it has to take to stop this evil money making industry?

Hmm. So the point here is that cosmetic plastic surgery should be illegal?

My practice is not part of some cosmetic surgery machine. Then again each plastic surgeon has his or her own philosophy. Mine hasn’t been dangerous and I intend to keep it that way.
