Heidi Montag Back to Blame Plastic Surgery Again

Heidi Montag only has plastic surgery to obtain any media coverage at all these days it seems. Now she laments over how she blew around a million dollars:
In a recent interview, Heidi spilled the beans on where at least some of the cash went. “Clothes, hair and makeup, managers, publicists, agents and lawyers,” said Montag. Too bad they didn’t save their money; too bad they have no idea how much they spent. “I’ve never really counted, so I’m not sure [how much we lost],” claims Heidi Montag, “a lot… over a million or so.”
Of course, a chunk of that went to her addiction to plastic surgery. What started with a broken nose turned into 10 procedures. She had her whole face redone, brand new breasts implanted, Botox treatments, and some liposuction. It left Heidi practically unrecognizable. Now she claims that she would “never recommend it for anyone.”

I doubt any significant portion of a million dollars went towards plastic surgery. In order to get her permission to publicize that she had done it with him, I’d wager her surgeon deeply discounted his fees. We can’t ask her surgeon of the ten procedure marathon of course as he died shortly thereafter.
Actually I can’t help but find it ironic that Heidi laments her extreme plastic surgery experience. This experience would certainly qualify as the most remarkable in her life to date. OK, maybe almost as fame-producing could be blowing through a million or so dollars with little if anything to show for it. Maybe not. In Hollywood that is not all that uncommon.

Heidi Montag Surfaces to Bag Plastic Surgery Again

Heidi Montag is a plastic surgery machine…first for having more than the average woman could have in a lifetime before the age of twenty-five and then for whining about it at every opportunity. In dire need of publicity she has surfaced once again like an enemy Uboat so we can all deal with her again. I talked to the OC Register about it:
“Though she had perfectly smooth legs prior to the surgeries, Heidi was horrified when photos surfaced depicting what appeared to be cellulite on her thighs just a few months after the body-contouring procedure. “I can’t believe I did this to myself,” she laments.
My comments:
“Heidi has lost her luster to the entertainment community. I’d wager she would say anything to make the powers that be happy, and bagging on your plastic surgery is popular now.
“With that being said, lipo is not a solution for all. As we have seen in other entertainers (e.g. Tara Reid) lipo can leave patients with irregularities seen in the treated skin. This is not a common occurrence, but happens much more prominently in cases in which it is performed inappropriately.
“There has to be enough fat to treat and the skin over it has to have the appropriate tone or elasticity. These are issues judged properly by trained personnel. Philosophy also has a good deal to do with which patients are offered surgery in a particular practice.
“Heidi was quite thin before surgery and is likely to have had surgery in areas that were not good targets … too little fat to treat. I’d bet that is the source of her troubles if they exist to any significant extent, anyway.”

A post plastic surgery marathon Heidi Montag put up a video on plastic surgery and credit card spending. It is kinda funny. She seems to be more of a poster child for having had too much plastic surgery. It’s a living….lol.

Heidi Montag has become a completely different person since her headline-making plastic surgeries. But now, her friends are seeing deeper — and more troubling — changes in Heidi. Once known for her bubbly, outgoing personality, the 23-year-old has been acting strangely — her moods ranging from teary and over-emotional to vacant and spaced out.

For a while, Heidi Montag was presented by the media as a plastic surgery poster child after her ten operations in one day event. This In Touch piece cites information from her friends saying she is a changed woman and not just physically.
Did plastic surgery or pain killers make her a mess as this piece indicates? The average plastic surgery patient does not radically alter her form as Heidi did. Doing all that Heidi has done makes her unusual. She has had a lifetime of cosmetic plastic surgery in two years. Then again this piece could be just another in a myriad of PR stunts for which Heidi and her “on again off again” husband became famous.

Heidi Montag used to brag about her extreme plastic surgery. Now she’s telling the world about her extreme workout and weight loss. Montag stepped out at Las Vegas’ Wet Republic pool party this weekend showing a super skinny frame. Montag said she has shed 27 pounds by exercising as many as 14 hours a day. “I’ve been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now,” she told US magazine. “I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been doing weights.”

Heidi Montag is a novelty. In 2010, she was first praising then bashing plastic surgery and her surgeon Frank Ryan…even following his tragic death. Maybe the extreme plastic surgery gimmick has dried up. Now we find her poolside with Crystal Harris (after Crystal dropped Hugh Hefner) heralding her new extreme weight loss program. Heidi has never been heavy at least not by my way of thinking. Now she is Skeletor thin. Well they say in Hollywood you can never be too rich or too thin. Move over Calista Flockhart.
She probably got paid pretty well for the appearance. Let’s see if this new gimmick gets her any mileage. It’s a living.

Heidi Montag was back in the OR again not so long ago for ten hours of surgery. Taking anything said or done by a reality television starlet entirely at face value is a bit much. Her “ten procedure/ten hour” trip to the OR is certainly not typical of the average cosmetic surgery patient, but it keeps her in the headlines which might have been a major part of the idea.
I liked the change from her first operation in 2007 (nose and breasts) as it seemed to improve, but not erase too much of her identity visually. The change from her second set of operations moved her in the direction of Jordan (Katie Price) making her appear kinda “overdone.” This is a personal opinion of course and a matter of philosophy. Plastic surgeons differ in philosophy as we have discussed here before.
Reality television showcases the extreme and unusual. Heidi certainly qualifies.

Heidi Montag has gone back and forth on her plastic surgery (and her plastic surgeon) like a politician after a bad election. Is she just media hungry or is she in need of some psychiatric attention?
This is from her “Life and Style” interview:
Heidi Montag admits that she regrets all of her plastic surgery. “Parts of my body definitely look worse than they did pre-surgery. This is not what I signed up for,” she tells Life & Style magazine in an exclusive interview given to PopEater. “The big dark mark from my chin reduction is probably the most noticeable. But the absolute worst is on my breasts, and the scariest is below my butt cheek,” she explains.

Does she really regret all of her surgery? How about the surgery I commented upon three years ago? She looked pretty good after her first boob job and nose job. Remember? The scars she is complaining about weren’t there then were they? Her plastic surgery extravaganza had not yet happened.
How many of you think this is the only topic that can get her press time? She isn’t crazy. She needs work and that means staying relevant as a celebrity. And her in roads to doing that is whining about her plastic surgery. I guess it’s a living.

Heidi Montag Bags Dr Frank Ryan

Heidi Montag’s statements about her late plastic surgeon Dr Frank Ryan have spanned the gamut.
Right after his tragic death she tweeted:
“He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world.”
And now three months later in another news story:
Heidi Montag regrets having so much cosmetic surgery and says she feels ”misled” by her surgeon, the late Dr. Frank Ryan. The blonde beauty has regrets about undergoing 10 procedures in one day, including breast implants, a brow lift, nose job and liposuction, and claims she would never have gone through with the treatment if surgeon Frank Ryan – who died in a car accident in August – had not persuaded her it wasn’t “excessive”.

While I am no fan of marathon surgery, I see it in poor taste for her to throw her dead surgeon under the bus for work she agreed to have done. Did she see any other surgeons before she had surgery with Dr Ryan? What did they say or recommend? We of course don’t know any of this. We do know that Heidi is searching for paying entertainment field work.
I am pretty sure she thinks that this stance will lead to it, but her complete disregard for her dead surgeon who did as she requested is simply wrong.

Heidi Montag Dimply Thighs?

Heidi Montag was photographed recently showing dimply thighs in one camera angle under what appeared to be harsh sunlight. Seeing as she has become the plastic surgery poster child in light of her recent plastic surgery marathon, the Daily Mail posited that she would be running back for more surgery.
Seeing as the area of objection appeared in only one angle under harsh lighting and this woman is photographed all day every day, I’d say she can probably leave it be. Then again I am a conservative plastic surgeon.
