Nice Lip Filler Result

lip filler

Here is a modest lip filler case before and five days later from my Orange County practice. Not every patient wants “Trout Pout meets domestic violence” on her lips. In this case we used Prevelle.

The exact filler choice is not as important (as long as a quality cosmetic material is used) in avoiding the trout pout as the quantity and technique. I recommend hyaluronic acid types in the lips to avoid unsightly lumps and bumps. Good technique limits the bruising.

Lisa Vanderpump Goes for Some Lip Filler

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump often gets mouthy on-air with her bitchy co-stars, but it is her lips that are currently the center of attention after they suddenly seem to have gotten a whole lot bigger! “She’s not quite at the trout pout stage, but a few more lip filler injections and she might get there,” the surgery expert told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

From the images I saw at Radaronline she looks freshly treated. If so, this should settle down nicely over a few weeks. I tend to like the less plump more natural-looking lip which can be produced by placing less lip filler in the proper places. The Beverly Hills types tend to pack that filler in.

Laura Summers Lip Injection Nightmare

Laura Summers After Lip Engorgement – Not Exactly What She Expected

After receiving a £200 lip injection, the Mirror writes, Summers lips expanded to four times their normal size. She told the newspaper, “I looked in the mirror and screamed. All I could see was a monster looking back at me.”

The result, seen in Summers’ Instagram pics below, was pretty bad. Worse than the mere “trout pout” that many celebs sport, Summers’ lips ballooned.

Laura Summers had had her share of plastic surgery. She decided apparently to have a lip injection done at an event she was attending. It is unclear as to who did the work. Her lips blew up later.

This could be infection or bleeding from poor technique. I have not had one like this in my years of doing injections. Then again I do not super-size them like Big Macs on the “gag it and bag it” fast food-like line of quickie nurse clinics.

I also contacted Laura via Twitter and she has expressed interest in guest posting here.

Reader Laura On Dental Course on Botox and Fillers

Reader Comment:

This is a company that is offering training for “Botox® and Dermal Fillers for Every Dental Practice”. They are offering a 1 day course to train Dentist on how to use Botox and fillers. How much training do plastic surgeons receive to do these procedures? How likely will it be for a regular dentist to be able to perform these procedures without mishaps?
Source: commonsensedentistry.com/BotoxDermalFillersCourse.aspx

I could teach a monkey to inject Botulinum toxin. Plastic surgery residents pick it up very quickly. Fillers are just about as easy as long as reasonable limits are observed. Some users do not know where to stop and/or inject the less safer “semi-permanent” fillers in large quantities. This can lead to scary results.

I was actually approached by a CME company not long ago about teaching such a course. It would be pretty easy. The question of how good the attendees will actually be at the procedures and what their judgment might be is another question entirely. In the right hands with the right judgment, internists inject these items safely every day.

Lisa Rinna: Good Genes or Good Docs?

I just am not so crazy about her choices in lip filler. Otherwise she looks pretty good to me.

Kirsty Yaqub & the “Barbie look” Cosmetic Surgery Patient

As well as a boob job boosting her from a modest 30B to a huge 30G, the mum-of-one has paid for expensive veneers on her teeth, lip injections, fillers and Botox. She also injects herself daily with a potent tanning drug to get a rich mahogany glow unattainable from a bottle. And the model – who is now completely unrecognisable from the shy teenager she once was – admits to being addicted to the kick surgical enhancements give her. Kirsty said: “People are amazed when they hear I’m only 20 and have already spent thousands of pounds on surgery, but I don’t regret any of it. If it makes me look and feel better then it’s worth it. Plus it gives me the most amazing buzz.”

Kirsty Yaqub is a gal in the UK who at the young age of 20 has has a ton of cosmetic surgery. She seems to be going for the artificial look (“Barbie Doll” look) that many plastic surgeons specifically seek to avoid.

While I believe she has the right to do whatever she wants with her body, young patients looking to have a good deal of surgery can worry me. Then again maybe it is just the filler images at the Sun that turn me off. Her pics at her own web site look nice.

I have never been a “Trout Pout” fan. Her body looks pretty good although she went pretty large on the implants and they might not age very well. For the record, my main focus in treating clients is to provide changes that have the best chance of aging well and have low risk. I admittedly have my own standards of improvement versus distortion. We all do. And the the tanning injections freak me out. What they might be is kinda scary.

It is interesting that she seems most thrilled about people knowing how much she has spent on her surgery.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Paid For Mistress Mildred Baena’s Boob Job

Arnold didn’t think it was enough to cheat on his wife in their own bed with their housekeeper Mildred Baena, but he also paid for her plastic surgery! Arnold funded Mildred’s boob job, lip enhancements AND even bought her adult daughter Jackie a breast augmentation.

What can you say about this one? It is not surprising that Arnold might cover his mistress for her plastic surgery. Then again I wonder if Maria knew Arnold was buying boobs for the whole staff.

Botox Mom Was a Paid Actor / Made It Up?

TMZ has obtained a sworn declaration written by Sheena Upton, who claims she was recently approached by the British tabloid, The Sun, and asked “to play the role of Kerry Campbell” for a story called “I Give My 8-Year-Old Daughter Botox.” Upton now confesses The Sun paid her $200 adding, “I was provided with the story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview.” After the story ran in The Sun, Upton says she was approached by “Good Morning America” and “Inside Edition” and claims she was offered “a large fee” to appear on camera. She went on both shows and re-told her story. After the interview, child welfare officials took Upton’s daughter away.

-lies-lied-child-protective-services-ucla-medical-center/

We have discussed Kerry Campbell: “The Botox Mom,” when the story broke. The saga just keeps sprouting new roots however…

At present Ms Upton (apparently “Kerry Campbell” was an alias) claims to have been paid by The Sun to act the part of the Botox Mom. Of course most recently the State stepped in to take her child from her. I also heard that she obtained a doctor to certify that her daughter had never been injected with Botox although I am not certain that can be done reliably. The lady is a liar one way or another. I don’t buy the “paid actor” role when you go on Good Morning America and tell a “Fantasy Island” story.

While the present rendition of the story could be true, it is a sad day when we must consider that a newspaper (even a tabloid) might actually pay a person and script a “made up” story.

Maybe I am not yet jaded?

Best Regards,

John Di Saia MD

P.S. I have seen the supposed lip injection images at TMZ. I think they are staged. There is no swelling at the injection site. That doesn’t mean she didn’t inject her daughter with lip fillers.

Britain’s Got Talent Judge Amanda Holden – Filler Queen?

It seems something rather strange has happened to her smile. Posing for photographers outside a London restaurant on Monday, the Britain’s Got Talent judge showed off much plumper lips. Miss Holden, 39, has always denied having anything other than Botox in her beauty regime and insisted she would never have her lips plumped.
Source: dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1269121/Britains-Got-Talent-judge-Amanda-Holden-sports-unusual-pout-dines-London.html

Ms Holden has at the very least used fillers on her nasolabial folds (Laugh lines) and lips. She has likely also had her eyes done and is a Botulinium toxin user. The lips look funky as they were probably very recently treated as of the time of the image at dailymail.

Fillers tend to look funky early on unless small amounts are injected.
