Lingerie Choices for the Tummy Tuck / Lower Body Lift Patient

Over the years my tummy tuck patients have asked about a surgeon’s perspective on lingerie recommendations. To answer this at least in part, I went through the catalog of one of my blog advertisers and picked a few for your consideration. Comments follow each. Your incision type and personal taste will of course rule supreme here:

A Dr D Post TT Fav – Great raised sides to cover most of my tummy tuck and lower body lift incisions and inexpensive too.

***

This sort of bikini panty tends to cover my low cut incision well.

***

Pretty good for a high cut incision or a lower body lift.

***

For a real high cut and/or those who like one piece styles. May have trouble covering the incision though.

***

The panty here plays well with raised sides for incision covering options.

***

For those who like more covered wear.

My main goal is covering the incision which will vary with the surgeon and the patient of course.

Enjoy ladies…..

Renee Graziano Jumps into Lower Body Lift

“Mob Wives” star Renee Graziano plans to kick off next season with a LOT more booty — telling TMZ, she went under the knife yesterday … for a $30,000 full-body surgery, including a massive ASS LIFT. Renee says she was a little nervous about the 5-hour procedure — but gave it a lot of thought, and ultimately decided to take the plunge. According to Renee, the “full-body lift” also includes a tummy tuck. The recovery time for such major surgery takes about 10 days — but once she’s in the clear, Renee tells us, she can’t wait to get naked.

Renee Graziano “Mob Wives” star told the media (TMZ) she had a big butt lift and a full body lift. This probably translates to a lower body lift which is an extended tummy tuck and a buttock lift put together.

Renee went on to say her recovery would be ten days. She’s got a rude awakening coming and I hope her surgeon is good with the pain pump placement as these can be a life saver in this setting. Recovery for a extended tummy tuck is 4-6 weeks and a lower body lift is like a tummy tuck on steroids. A well placed pain pump can help the patient feel less like a truck took her out on the interstate.

One last thing, a lower body lift is an operation that comes with months of swelling (often called “Swell Hell”) and a long scar pattern that takes a year to fully fade and soften, so if she’s getting naked anytime soon I’d wait to head to the mirror.

Oh and if she smokes, I hope she quit first. ;)

Reader Question – Buttock Lift Technique to Not Lift Crack

Reader Question:

I noticed in the surgical buttock lift photos by the doctor that the scar doesn’t join at the top of the buttock crack. I’ve seen photos of patients who had this procedure with another doctor who did join the scar in the center, and the patients ended up with an awful elongated butt crack. I’m wondering if the doctor purposefully doesn’t join the scars in the center in order to avoid this outcome?

Different doctors use different techniques in their surgical practices. The appearance of the wound at closure hints to the technique but does not always make that technique obvious.

My body lift / buttock lift technique involves more than the scar. You will want to carefully evaluate your surgeon’s “Before & After” images as you choose who to employ for your operation. Body lift surgery is large in scale and can entail revisions. This is one of the reasons I usually stage my lower body lifts as two main operations of which the buttock lift is the second.
