Deena Nicole Cortese, a New Look and Plastic Surgery Rumors

Earlier this year, Jersey Shore star Deena Nicole debuted a much slimmer physique and a glam new face that looked so unlike her, it was highly suspected the little meatball got some major plastic surgery.

I have long thought of plastic surgery claims as “quick and dirty” PR. When a star needs a little attention, she (or he) just puts out a new look and floats plastic surgery rumors. We have discussed Deena Nicole before. She’s a veteran plastic surgery denier.

This time she might have had some work (I have yet to see really good pictures.) Much of this new look seems to be the lack of calories and maybe an exercise program. Yes, in some older images she looked like she hadn’t learned to push away from the buffet.

Imagine that. :)

Irish Reality Star Danielle Meagher Sues Over Cosmetic Surgery

STAR of Dublin Housewives Danielle Meagher is suing Cosmedico Plastic Surgery Clinic for medical negligence, according to court papers filed in Dublin’s High Court. The reality television star is taking the claim following two separate procedures at the well-known Irish clinic. In 2010 Meagher underwent liposuction on her stomach, which included ‘scar revision’ and the removal and relocation of her navel, under the care of Professor Anil Madaree.

Then in 2011, the Dublin socialite underwent liposuction on her thighs, under the care of Dr Marco Loiacono. Meagher is pursuing the clinic and both medical professionals for financial damages in the region of €100,000-€120,000.

Speaking this weekend to the Sunday Independent, a friend close to the Dublin reality TV personality said:

“Since undergoing the surgery on her stomach, Danielle has been too embarrassed to go on any beach holidays with friends. She does not want anyone to see her in a bikini and has only gone away on summer vacations on her own with her family. Following the operation on her legs, she has never worn a dress. It is dreadfully upsetting for her. She is too self-conscious of her thighs.”

Malpractice suits can be interesting for those looking from outside of them. Doctors of course really don’t like them very much. They can be brought for many reasons, but amongst the most common include unreasonable expectations.

Ms Meagher had liposuction and is apparently unhappy about the outcome. She is seemingly embarrassed to be seen exposing the areas operated. She might have a reasonable complaint. Then again she might have expected more than the operation could deliver. As I have not seen images of before and after (and perhaps never will,) I can only speculate on the problem.

I have seen my share of liposuction patients unhappy with care elsewhere. Some have had unsightly dents from overly aggressive work. Others have had skin that became loose from the removal of the fat. Some cases looked like negligent work and others not so much.

Liposuction can be a good operation under the right conditions. When you order it as if ordering a pizza from a unskilled technician, you are selecting for a poor outcome. Sometimes liposuction is not a great selection for a particular patient. Not all those who would sell it to you may know the difference or care to let you in on that fact.

This is amongst the reasons I advise patients to seek plastic surgery with an open mind as opposed to seeking out a particular procedure. This and choosing quality surgical talent tend to lead to a better result. These issues may be involved in this case. :)

Jersey Shore’s JWoWW Denies Facial Plastic Surgery

It’s not the first time Jersey Shore star JWoWW has denied rumors of plastic surgery…and likely not the last. The MTV reality star took to Twitter late Wednesday with a photo of a choice finger and a few choice words. “Flattered but wrong. No surgery hun. false,” JWoWW responded to someone who suggested she had work done on her face – specifically her lips.

Source: examiner.com/article/jersey-shore-star-jwoww-denies-plastic-
surgery-above-the-neck-1

JWoWW got a tweet on her lips and was not so amused: She responded:

We have discussed JWoWW here before including the question of facial surgery. The question of what really defines surgery is at the top of the list here. Most people have their lips enhanced with a needle and many Hollywood types don’t count that as “surgery.” The effects of the safer soft tissue fillers are temporary as well. At some point after they have been done, they are gone.

Say JWoWW had a lip filler done a four months before this picture for a party. Dial the hands of time those months into the future. This image is taken and no filler. Quality fillers are temporary.

I still find it amusing that entertainers spend the time to deny cosmetic work. If they look good, does anyone really care? I really shouldn’t complain. It provides me endless material. :)

Jenelle Evans Boob Job Drama

Jenelle Evans shows off her boob job in naked photo shoot.

teen-mom-jenelle-evans-boob-job

Jenelle Evens is a reality show micro celebrity who has released pre and post op boob job images for publicity. So what else is new?

Amongst the copy featured along some of these images was a comment that she still felt lopsided. It is obvious that this gal is not well-informed. Simple breast implant surgery does not even out breast position very well and early post-op appearance is not a good indication of how things will look when they are mature. This assumes she found competent surgical care.

This is aside from the fact that the last time I read about her online she had trouble with the law and her parents were caring for her children. She is not exactly the poster child I would want for my practice.

Deena Nicole Cortese Forgot About Her Nose Job Too

“Jersey Shore” star Deena Nicole Cortese has denied recently undergoing any new plastic surgery, following new speculation that she has drastically altered her appearance.

“I have not got any plastic surgery … yes in the past I have had a nose job.” Cortese recently wrote via her Twitter page.
Source: global.christianpost.com/news/jersey-shore-star-deena-

Don’t feel too badly Deena. Diane Keaton forgot about her nose job too.

And then a few days later….

there was nothing really wrong with her teeth which have since been replaced with Hilary Duff’s first pair of veneers from out of the trash.
Source: amygrindhouse.com/deena-cortese-teeth.html

Deena released this image on her twitter account while denying having had work so I had to take a look. Her veneers are a bit bright for my tastes. Any brighter and she won’t need headlights on any car she’s driving.

Looking at her image I see changes in her upper eyelids and brow position as well as her upper lip and maybe her facial folds. I’d say she’s had upper eyelid surgery, probably a forehead lift and facial fillers. Stay tuned to her twitter @DeenaNicoleMTV for more changes; well at least whether or not she’s starts coming clean on them.

Typically the reality show gals tend to be more forthcoming on their plastic surgery usually as a source of quick PR. Mainstream talent denies it all more often than not.

Khloe Kardashian Against Plastic Surgery?

A report of a Kardashian reality show plastic surgery session had me curious:

Right off the bat, Malika admits to Khloe that she wishes she had bigger boobs. It starts out as kind of a joke at first, but later on, Malika announces that she has scheduled a consultation for breast implants. Looks like it’s time to “get a new set of twins.”

Although Khloe’s not opposed to the idea of plastic surgery, she’s worried that her bestie is going under the knife for the wrong reasons. She brings up the fact that Malika just broke up with Adrian — roll the montage of cute moments, followed by tears — and explains that she’s worried that this is about her break-up.

over-plastic-surgery

We have spoken of reality stars and their plastic surgery exploits here on a number of occasions. Being of the opinion that reality shows are scripted to excess, plot twists really do not surprise me much.

Still it might seem more than ironic to many that a Kardashian would have anything to say about plastic surgery except “Go! Go! Go!” That is probably the reason this reality was scripted for your enjoyment. :)

That aside, it is true that women often seek plastic surgery when they are “between men.” Paradoxically, cosmetic patients are happier when they have surgery for reasons that are internal.

It was traditionally part of plastic surgery training to assess the motivations of a patient coming for cosmetic surgery. Such an evaluation itself in practice however probably happens much more infrequently than it did in years gone by. The competition element discourages this kind of dialogue.

Angela “Big Ang” Raiola on her Plastic Surgery

In a new interview, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola dishes on wanting more surgery. The 52-year-old breakout star of the season says, “I would like to have other surgery, like my eyes done and a slight face lift and my love handles removed by liposuction… I just need to get this liposuction fast around my bra and my backsides, and I’ll feel much better after that cause my age is kicking in.” Her sister even found her a doctor–on Facebook of all places!–who she will be consulting with this month. No stranger to procedures, Big Ang confesses that her first foray into plastic surgery was in 1985.“I had a tummy tuck, liposuction, my lips injected and my breasts done three times,” Big Ang said. “The first time I had my breasts done was 27 years ago, and they put sponges in them. That was in 1985.”
Source: realitytea.com/2012/02/03/mob-wives-big-ang-wants-

Reality stars run at opposites with conventional Hollywood types in many ways. One of them is admitting (well OK bragging about) plastic surgery. And that is good for us here! :)

There are a few worthwhile points to this dish session. Firstly breast implants are not forever. Ang reports on three boob jobs starting in 1985. That figures correctly as about one on average every ten years.

Going to J cup size with breast implants is not possible or practical for most women, but it obviously works for her.

One other point: She talks about her age “kicking in.” It happens and fat can start piling up if diet and exercise are not implemented. Also sponges were not standard breast implants in 1985. I wonder where she had her original surgery.

Reader Laura on Camille Grammar Plastic Surgery

Reader Comment:
“Kelsey Grammer’s estranged wife Camille is shown here in her bikini on her reality show. Looking at the pics it seems like she’s had a tummy tuck? In one of the pics it looks like she has a scar on her lower abdomen & she hasn’t given birth to her children so it couldn’t be form a c-section. What else do you think she might have had done?”

But when pressed, by host Judith Regan, the former Playboy model and dancer confessed: ‘Oh god, what have I done? Let’s see, obviously I’ve had a breast augmentation and Botox absolutely…just a crock full of Botox.’
Source: dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1327162/Real-Housewives-Beverly-Hills-reveal-plastic-surgery-secrets.html

I haven’t seen a good clear image of her tummy that shows a scar but she has a knockout body. A tummy tuck is certainly possible. She admitted to breast implants and Botox recently, but that face has seen much more than just botulinum toxin. At the very least she has likely had a nose job and probably other facial work.

In general, I find that celebrity plastic surgery “mea culpa’s” are usually to about one third of what they have had done. It is the game.

Ashley Holmes of Real Housewives Gets Plastic Surgery

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Ashley Holmes got a nose job. She is nineteen. Here is an image from her Facebook. The usual “conversational dodge” for rhinoplasty is that the patient did it for strictly reconstructive purposes or that the cosmetic component was an afterthought. In Hollywood as you might imagine this is most commonly an exaggeration.

Internal nasal surgery designed to improve breathing “sinus and septum work” almost never has external signs, so when there is an external change the surgery to cause it was elective and cosmetic.
