Boob Job Redo Video

Boob job redo surgery is certainly more difficult than first time cases. Looking over some of my older YouTube videos, there was a desire to fix some up a bit. I had this boob job redo video with a patient testimonial. This video is now new and improved with reduction of annoying music and re-arrangement of the elements. It tells the story better now.

The story in short was this very nice young woman had been operated by a local surgeon who reported himself as the “best of the best.” Sound familiar? He nevertheless ran into a complication and after three operations left her pretty deformed. He reported to her that “this was as good as it was going to get.” Then she found Dr D through a friend. This was not an easy case and her result is just as much due to my work as her persistence, faith and patience.

Dr D Video on Saline Breast Implant Safety

A few years ago I saw a YouTube video by a woman who claimed that saline breast implants had essentially ruined her life. I responded with my experience with saline implants and my preference for them over the silicone gel filled alternative. Lately I have had a few comments at YouTube that were a bit “over the top,” so I deleted them. Being that this kind of discourse is more appropriate for the blog here, I am going to allow comments that I would not allow on my YouTube here. Lunacy and/or foul language will still be deleted of course:

Sclerotherapy – The Truth

Small procedures are on the rise with the economy being depressed. Sclerotherapy (injections to improve spider veins) are pretty common.

The concept is pretty simple: inject a fluid into the vein causing it to clot and scar (and eventually go away.)

This works pretty well for small veins but frequently can leave a bruised vein for several weeks. You really should keep the treated area out of the sun while this bruise resolves or it can be permanent.

The veins can come back. They usually do to some extent so this is a maintenance therapy.

Dr D Tummy Tuck Morph and Comments

I have contributed some videos to YouTube. Who hasn’t? Interesting is the fact that the video upon which I spent the least effort is the one with nearly 2.5 million hits.

It’s a low res tummy tuck before and after morph. I just plugged her before and after pictures into a program I was trying out and that was it. YouTube has improved in the five years that it has been online. The distortion that used to be there has decreased.

Dr D’s Looking “Curvy but Natural” With 750 cc Breast Implants Video

I have been flamed a bit online over my stance on breast implant size. Some women simply cannot go to the larger sizes without an undue risk of complications. That does not mean I simply do not offer surgery to women seeking larger sizes. Here’s a woman I operated twice over twelve years to give her the bust she desired. The first time the 750 cc implants she ultimately received would not have fit in there (her first operation was with 350 cc implants.). She has no rippling and no pain and these are saline-filled implants. They fit her form pretty well and most importantly she is happy. :)

Dr D’s Wedge vs Trim Method Labiaplasty Video Updated

As my Labiaplasty YouTube video in which I describe Wedge versus Trim method surgery (Pros and Cons) was getting hits and likes lately, I decided to update it. The initial intro segment of yours truly was originally shot with an older video camera so I fixed it up. :)

The narration while I give the Powerpoint portion of the video is sadly not fixed up much. I might get to it later depending upon time.

Breast Implant Fringe Element Live on The Internet

Almost a year ago I posted a video response to a gal on YouTube who claimed that saline breast implants ruined her life. My point was and has always been that these things may happen rarely with silicone gel implants, but I have not seen a case with saline implants. Now that is in over ten years of practice in hundreds of breast implant cases. Take into account that the vast majority of plastic surgeons do not even agree with this statement.

Quite recently there have been a number of comments on that YouTube video including:

Please, Dr. Di Saia, try not to be so hard on these women. Cut them some slack– you obviously can continue to enjoy your life without the burden of illness. I doubt being compassionate will negatively impact you economically.

The internet can be a great place for people to gather, but it also allows really small groups to amass and seem like they are larger than they are. The statistics these women cite are simply impossible, obviously being exaggerated for effect. My statements are my experience without economic bias. Being compassionate is not to agree to ridiculous exaggeration.

YouTube Breast Augmentation Video

I made this little video a while ago for the web site. It is a very simple primer for first time breast implant patients to help them frame their decisions to hopefully help limit re-operative adventures.
